Very nice and peaceful campground. We stayed in Sandy point. Sign says not to set up a tent in the grass. Sprinklers go off during the week. You will see deers, rabbits and raccoons throughout. If you want pool access make sure to buy a pass before they sell out. The pool is not at sandypoint. It’s closer to the general store. The lake is readily accessible from campsite.

We had a great time at Lake Nacimiento at the en of April and beginning of May. We drove with our 3 pups and they absolutely loved it. My husband rented a space near the bathrooms which was vital! We were within walking distance to the lake so we took several trips down. We did have a little bit of reception so we were able to communicate with our family back home. There were not a lot of people during the whole weekend we were there except for Saturday. We were there 4 days from Friday to Monday. There was a store a couple of miles away from the site and I was surprised at how large it was and the variety of things there. During one of my drives I got lost and one of their campground staff redirected me to the right place. He was very friendly and helpful. The office staff was also very nice. I had a client appointment on Sunday and they let me use their office to do my zoom meeting. Overall it was a really good experience and I recommend it to any family wanted to get away.

Beautiful camp site but very sandy so expect a lot of dust when camping here. Lots of raccoons and wildlife will visit you during the night so make sure to pack up and put everything away or else you'll wake up to your chips, bread, food picked up by something.

We towed our 26ft trailer and camped at spot 507 . Narrow but manageable to get in and out. 507 was huge. Clean site, water source available for basic needs. Private beach area easily accessible for the water level.
