My husband has always raved about this area, and it did not disappoint. Upper Soda Springs is my FAVORITE campground we have ever been to. Gary was an exceptional host, always around with help and knowledge. The nature in and around the campground was gorgeous! John walked to fly fish, we had two amazing half-day hikes, and there is still so much for us to explore. Can't wait to go back again asap!! Thanks so much to Gary and all for the fantastic week!

I have been camping with my new family in upper soda springs for the past 3yrs and have to say that Gary is a great camp host. His orientation is very informative and the bathrooms are very clean. He has a great dog, Dr. Suess. The hiking trails are wonderful and the store at the Reds Meadow pack station is a great place to treat yourself to an ice cream. Rainbow falls is a must see.

Our families have been camping at Upper Soda Springs for over 37 years. Without a doubt, Gary is the best Campground Host we have had. Now if we can just get Fish and Game to start stocking again!

Made a last minute change of plans on our weekend road trip and decided to spend a night at the Upper Soda Springs campground and couldn't be happier that we did. We'll definitely be back. Beautiful location in Reds Meadow adjacent to the Ansel Adams Wilderness and PCT and JMT. Campsites are well spaced and most are shaded by the trees which also provide a nice bit of privacy. We'll definitely be back. Beautiful location in Reds Meadow adjacent to the Ansel Adams Wilderness and PCT and JMT. Campsites are well spaced and most are shaded by the trees which also provide a nice bit of privacy. And the pit toilets are the cleanest ones I've ever seen. It's evident that Gary the camphost cares a great deal about the campground and the people staying there. In fact, at the next campground we stayed at my friend said to me, "I miss Gary." We plan on coming back for more than just a night as soon as we can. See you soon!
