The road has been washed out and is mot accessible. A shame because it’s such a beautiful campground. I was disappointed that this wasn’t made known on google reviews yet. It is completely abandoned

4 stars due to trash. Come on people! Really? Not filthy but I'd be open to a "lets get together day" and clean it up. I did my part. 2 trash bags full. Site 4 and surrounding is currently clean. Lol. Besides that, it was great! Free with Nat Forest pass or America The Beautiful pass. Even more remote than Sycamore Campground on the highway. Sunrise is 10am. Sunset is about 4-5. Sycamore in sunris... Sycamore in sunrise at 8. Sunset at 6. You are in a valley. Mountains keep the sun away at South Fork. Only 2 other campers there. Very quiet, beautiful and peaceful. No rangers or official vehicles came by for both nights in late Nov 2023. No Verizon service. Fairly clean vault toilets. Didn't try any water fausets but I think there is no water. Same as Sycamore. Feel free to use pics as you wish.

This is one of my favorite campgrounds to come to. A little weird to get to but still worth it. There are no convenience stores for about 30-40 minutes from here so be prepared. Also, cellphone coverage is spotty, which is new. In my previous years there was zero signal at all. Careful when hiking up the creek/river, as the ranger does not go up there. Also, for the love of all that is holy, PI... This is one of my favorite campgrounds to come to. A little weird to get to but still worth it. I'm in love with this place! I just wish people would take care of it and just enjoy the beauty of it, without trashing it. It's so sad to see the amount of trash they leave behind. 😔💔
