Nice view with clear water. If you want to swim, go to Lake Alpine at about 7 miles away.

Campsite was almost full, got one of the last camping spots. Bear came into the campground Thursday night and rummaged through a neighboring campground. Price was $30 a night which isn’t terrible but first come first serve really sucks. The camp hosts were not very friendly or approachable and seemed annoyed when I went to ask them a question. The campgrounds were clean though but still kinda far... Campsite was almost full, got one of the last camping spots. Spicer is quite beautiful. The water's a bit low right now. However, there is fresh water there to clean up with and the roads are covered in smooth, nice pavement all throughout. The campsites even have concrete slabs for camper, rv, or car parking. This campground is much more developed than those of the nearby bodies of water. Restrooms are even cleaner. This campground is much more developed than those of the nearby bodies of water. Restrooms are even cleaner. The place overall is much less dirty than the adjacent campgrounds at Union and Utica Reservoirs. Spicer allows fishing boats, but not personal crafts. There are also alot of manual paddled vessels; kayaks, canies, paddle boards, and rafts. Utica is still a much more breathtaking place..dirt and all

Great place for families and mid summer you can’t beat the weather. A family favorite for us, swimming is variable based on water level but by end of June water seems to hover in the 60-65 degree range on the surface.
