About Stateline River Access Campground

Campground in California.

Stateline River Access Campground offers RV travelers a genuine connection to California's natural waterways and outdoor heritage. Located in a region rich with recreational opportunities, this public campground serves as an ideal basecamp for those seeking to explore the unique character of Northern California's river systems and surrounding landscapes.

The campground's primary draw is its proximity to river access, making it a favorite among fishing enthusiasts, kayakers, and nature photographers. Whether you're interested in casting a line into productive waters, paddling downstream to discover hidden coves, or simply spending quiet mornings listening to the water flow, this location delivers authentic outdoor experiences. The river itself provides a natural focal point for the camping experience, with the soothing sounds of flowing water creating a peaceful backdrop for your stay.

The surrounding region offers varied attractions for different interests and activity levels. Those who enjoy hiking will find trails and natural areas within reasonable driving distance, allowing for day trips to explore California's diverse terrain. Bird watchers often appreciate the riparian habitat that naturally occurs along river corridors, providing excellent opportunities for spotting both common and occasional rare species. Photography enthusiasts, particularly those interested in landscape and wildlife photography, will find the changing light and natural scenery throughout the day compelling.

Stateline River Access Campground welcomes a range of RV travelers, from serious anglers planning extended fishing trips to families seeking a more rugged camping experience away from heavily developed resort-style parks. The public campground atmosphere tends to attract outdoor enthusiasts who value access and affordability over high-end amenities. This makes it an excellent choice for budget-conscious travelers and those who prioritize being close to nature.

The area's climate allows for extended camping seasons, and the river environment typically stays cooler than inland locations, which many travelers appreciate during warmer months. Morning and evening hours often provide the most comfortable temperatures for outdoor activities and exploration.

So glad the hunting is back open here in Tulelake. This park is so accommodating. The bathrooms and showers are very clean and newly painted. They even have free wifi. They have a building to clean your birds in. Definitely recommend and coming back. And Mike the camp host is awesome. They even have a laundry room if needed.

Just parked my Trailer here the other day and John has been super helpful and generous. Let us borrow a lock for our storage unit. Even saved us when our battery died. I highly recommend this trailer park. It is Priced very affordable and it comes with many perks. Would not want to be at any other park!

Have been coming here for years now while hunting in the area. Great place to stay in close proximity to many attractions. The management and ownership at the RV park go above and beyond in working with their guests. Highly recommend staying here.

Don’t trust the pics on the website! They are so outdated. This place is very run down. Dilapidated is a good description. It does have full hook ups-barely-some of the sewer hookups are broken.
