Whether you're drawn to outdoor adventures, scenic exploration, or simply want to slow down and enjoy quality time with family and friends, this area delivers on multiple fronts. The smaller campground setting is ideal for those who prefer a more rustic, authentic camping experience over the amenities-heavy resort-style parks that dominate many areas.

Graded flat spots. Fenced area with a picnic table. We had a 50amp spot, full hookups. Great customer service. Easy to park wide roads. Near the beach, and had great bike paths.

While you can hear some noise from the freeway, it’s barely noticeable with the ocean so close by. The location is incredibly convenient, especially being near Monterey Bay which is the main reason we keep coming back. As members of the Monterey Bay Aquarium, we love that we can camp here and easily drive to the Aquarium. Our stays have always been memorable, and we look forward to returning year after year.

One of the best parks that is available to Thousand Trails members. Great location and nice spots. Yes the highway can be loud but it is not that bad and if you are here more that a couple of days it fades into background noise.

Can get packages delivered directly to your site (WHICH IS GREATLY APPRECIATED). They take extra care to make sure gravel is blown off the road and even rake the gravel parking spaces after vehicles leave to give a fresh and clean impression. NEVER seen that before. An extra touch of care. Certainly not taking the lazy approach. The sand at the beach is very coarse, which means it doesn't pack down, even when wet. Always a soft step and unrideable by fat tire bikes. Bike path not too far on other side of highway alongside a road heading north-south.

Wonderful spot. I love the elk and the space was large. My only concern is that the site needs more gravel . We couldn't back in enough to hook up septic because we started sinking in the wet ground. But that's not an issue when the ground is dry.

Think twice before staying here. The owner has serious anger issues and should not be dealing with the retail public. He runs around all day trying to impose his ridiculous concentration camp type rules. We witnessed him yelling at several of his customers. Check the long list of rules on his website, besides the sites are close to the highway which makes it busy and noisy., definitely not relaxin... Think twice before staying here. The owner strongly warned us about moose in the area – but honestly, he should have warned us about the loud, rowdy crowd that seemed to dominate this campground. On our second night there was an explosion, followed by sheriff and ambulance on site. Later, a fight broke out right behind us, with the sheriff still present the next morning to keep things under control. We were just glad to leave this place.

The restrooms were clean and there is a store on the campgrounds where you could buy souvenirs, snacks and camping gear. The staff is very friendly and super helpful, my husband got a headachethe day we left and when the store didn't have any Tylenol, one of the staff members gave us her personal Tylenol in order to accommodate our needs. The campsite made us feel like a true home away from home, we will be staying again soon!

We loved it here so much that we extended our stay twice. We enjoyed the serenity and lush forest. The little lake is beautiful with a small trickling waterfall running to it. The grounds are breathtaking. The staff in the office was amazing to us. We live full time on the road out of our converted school bus, and we were nervous about staying in a campground, but they made us feel right at home.... We even had to have some packages delivered and they brought them out to our site to give them to us. We did get to see a huge heard of elk almost every day that we were there, it was such a treat! Needless to say, we will definitely be back in the future!
