to anwer the question, why would you go there: It is a clean and beautiful Campground if you want some unique nature pictures and like to fish and hunt, that is a great place to relax, hunt, hiking and fishing. Also a wonderfull area for dirt road rides. I love it in September when the hunting season starts and tourists and kid's are gone. It is a special place where natives once traded sometimes... to anwer the question, why would you go there: It is a clean and beautiful Campground if you want some unique nature pictures and like to fish and hunt, that is a great place to relax, hunt, hiking and fishing. Hey all, just an FYI because I didn't see any warnings before headed out. But as of 16June2023 (Idk how long it's been as is) Hell Hole Res. Camp grounds are not open. Destroyed by massive tree fall. Big Meadows was also closed, unsure why.

Great little campground. The website says no bear boxes but there is in fact bear boxes at most of the sites. I can confirm that site 8 does not have a box though.
