This is a true gem. We love this tent camping ground. Camp sites have potable water, propane fire pits, river access, centralized showers and flushing toilets, and excellent hosts. We had an issue with our camp's propane fire pit, so we texted the host. They responded quickly and came out help us fix the issue. These camp sites are clean and well kept. This is a small campground overall. All of the campsites are dispersed enough that you're not on top of one another. It has its own private little beach. It's a bit of a walk to the showers and restrooms, but I stayed at the farthest site (#6). It is feet from the beach and 50 yards from the next site. Nice, flat with a permanent canvas canopy to keep moisture or rain from hitting your tent. I met... This is a small campground overall. Nice, flat with a permanent canvas canopy to keep moisture or rain from hitting your tent. I met one of the hosts and he was very accommodating and friendly. There are water spigots around and a random sink to wash dishes in. There are no open fires at the campsites, but they provide a 20 gallon tank of propane and a gas fire pit. I thought this would bother me but after camping like this, I actually prefer it. It puts out a ton of heat, it ready asap, and when I woke up several times during the night, it takes but a second to get a hot flame. You warm up, put it out and go back to sleep. Perfect. Best of all, it is only 40 minutes from Roseville and you're deep in the woods. Parking is a little distance from some campsites, but they provide wagons. A grocery store, liquor store, Wells Fargo, gas and micro brewery are a short ride from there.

Unbelievable experience of going back in time to 1854. The staff is extremely artistic, kind, amazing with kids, fun, smart, devoted. Have visited 2 times with 2 of my kids and both times were consistently great!
