BOULDER BASIN

Remote campground with a 5 mile (30 minute drive) dirt road up 2,000 ft of elevation on the backside of idyllwild. There road continues on for dispersed camping as well. These campsites were unique and spaced out. There’s no running water but bathrooms with vaulted toilets were clean and well kept. Would recommend a four wheel drive car or at least 6 inches of clearance but saw a Nissan versa and... There are no real marked hiking trails other than the road up to the lookout tower, well worth a visit. The Rangers were all super nice and friendly.
