this campground is located near the town of Downieville California. It is a real beauty and has a tendency to fill up during the summer so be sure to make a reservation. There are plenty of camp spots and most are pretty spacious. They provide a bear box for storage and a fire ring/bbq. There are shady spots, sunny spots, creekside spots and a few in between. Located close to small cafe and general store. Just past the camp grounds if you follow the road up only about 1/4 mile you will see the wonderfall waterfall and swimming hole. Do be advised that many choose not to wear clothes so if your shy probably not your swimming hole. For all others...DIVE IN!

I was pleasantly surprised at this campground. The camp host was super nice, friendly and helpful. This was our first time staying at this campground and definitely not last. Each camp site has a metal Bear box, picnic table and fire ring with grilling rack over it. . Bathrooms are not flushable but surprisingly clean. And there's a water spigot in the general area along with two 2 yard trash bins... I was pleasantly surprised at this campground. The camp host was super nice, friendly and helpful.
