The broader region offers cultural and historical attractions that complement the natural beauty. Small mountain towns nearby provide supplies, local dining, and glimpses into California's mining and logging heritage. Great lake view, stayed for free in April. Dropper toilets and no water, but nice spot.

It’s closed and doesn’t look like it’s been open in years. Nice walk down to the stream but that’s as exciting as it gets. Loads of poison oak too. Beware
