This camp is in a very nice location. It is at walking distance to the mini store, gift shop and cell signal for that emergency call or text ( forget about your phone unless you absolutely need to) and a bit over a mile from General Grant Tree. Restrooms are well kept and camp overall super clean and organized. Had a blast there. No complains here.

I’ll start by saying we got very lucky with getting the site that we did in a last minute effort to camp in Sequoia/Kings Canyon area while on a road trip. It’s called Sunset for a reason, but during the day is very hot in the summer. The sites in the upper loop have a great view, but as others have stated, be prepared for people to walk right through your campsite without asking or saying a word... I’ll start by saying we got very lucky with getting the site that we did in a last minute effort to camp in Sequoia/Kings Canyon area while on a road trip. It’s called Sunset for a reason, but during the day is very hot in the summer. The sites in the upper loop have a great view, but as others have stated, be prepared for people to walk right through your campsite without asking or saying a word to get out to the rocks around sunset. These areas are of prime interest and although we had a time lapse set up, a hammock in the trees, wet clothes drying on the downed trees, and chairs out, people just walked right on through our site and stepped over our things. We also noticed people taking over the bathrooms in the evenings to change with their beauty products everywhere- again, pretty odd. Never experienced this anywhere else and we’ve camped all over the US. Luckily there’s a sink outside the restrooms and we could wash hands or brush teeth out there (as well as do dishes). There are two flush toilets per restroom and no showers at this campground. The closest showers are about an hour away at Cedar Grove, although they seemed pretty busy when we visited that area. The campground is very close to a camp store/market, a not so great restaurant & lodge, and a visitors center as well as a short drive from a few trails. As far as maintenance, the trash was overflowing and the bathrooms seemed like they had maybe been cleaned once in the three days we spent there. Some sites were spaced out like ours while others seemed very very close quarters, so look at reviews before booking.

First time here, Great experience, beautiful scenery. Like other reviews, noisy neighbors can happen. We lucked out and only had one day of loud, obnoxious neighbors, Amenities are close by and something to do for everyone. Camp sites 106/107.

Wow. What a view from the top of the hill of the sunset and after dark, the lights of Fresno down in the valley! 1/8 mile to amenities at Grant Gove Village; the post office, visitors center, store and restaurant. Restaurant is great for viewing the meadow and wildlife from the veranda while eating lunch or dinner. Most campsites are sloped though so view photos and individual campsite reviews. Lo... Wow. Lots of trails and there’s paved roads through the camp. Deer are frequently here.
