Nice camping area, but limited to groups. Was a BSA camp, but it is used primarily by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Mosquitoes are bad there. Better this year since it was drier than last year, less water for them to breed in. Still you must bring mosquitoe repellent.

A great camp with minimal development, allowing you to enjoy the natural beauty of the area. Camp sites are spread out, so your group isn't camping on your neighbor. Fully equipped with rifle, shotgun, and archery ranges. Full kitchen with walk-in reefer and freezer. Lake Sterling is relatively shallow so the water temperature makes swimming a more enjoyable experience. Canoes are available.

Camp Cole is an amazing experience for our church youth groups. It's located about 5 or 6 miles off the highway off some dirt roads. It's very remote and rustic which is perfect to help the kids "unplug" and actually engage with each other. The waterfront consists of a very nice little mountain lake that is about a half mile across and maybe a mile to mile and a half long. The water is crystal clear and is just big enough to enjoy sailing small boats, rowing, canoeing and kayaking. It's not so big that it's difficult to keep an eye on everyone. One end of the lake has a great granite face that we use for rock climbing and repelling. We also have archery, shotgun and rifle ranges. Our boys meet others from all over the state and make lasting friendships and memories.
