That said, everything else about the cabin and the campground made up for it, and we would definitely be back here again.

This is a lovely compound, quiet and clean. Shower (only one stall) is nice with good pressure and hot water. Campsites are decently sized. Only thing I’ll say is be warned of bears! We watched one wander around the whole campground perimeter, rifling through people’s stuff and standing on the side of a camper. We were tent camping and it even trampled our tent lol.

An excellent campground with full hookups, roomy sites, and a friendly camp host. Other than a proper bath house there aren't really any amenities. But that's okay for the price. If you're looking for a home base to explore the Redwood State and National Parks, this fits the bill perfectly as it's smack in the middle of it all!

The Cher’ere Campground has been revitalized after its new manager Eric has taken over. The lawn is well maintained and there is space for tons of campers and their family. The new cabin has been renovated nicely and is comparable with many of the nice hotels you could find along the coast with the addition of a great kitchen and washer and dryer! In addition there are septic, water, 30amp and 50a... The Cher’ere Campground has been revitalized after its new manager Eric has taken over. Pros: good location, we had a pretty quiet stay (the first night it was only half filled), bathrooms had flush toilets, shower, paper towels, pretty clean Cons: no host present (I tried calling to see if I could change my site and got no answer, no privacy! It's basically a lawn of tents and RVs. Only one shower. Soap and paper towel ran out.
