About Glamis North Hot Springs Resort

Campground in California.

Nestled in the heart of Imperial County near Niland, California, Glamis North Hot Springs Resort offers a unique RV camping experience centered around the region's natural geothermal attractions. The area surrounding Niland is characterized by wide-open desert landscape with fascinating geological features that draw visitors from across the country seeking relaxation and natural wellness experiences.

The Imperial Valley, where Niland is located, sits below sea level and features some of California's most interesting natural phenomena. This remote desert region provides a peaceful, quiet setting away from urban crowds, making it ideal for RVers seeking solitude and a chance to disconnect. The landscape here is distinctly Mojave Desert, with dramatic sunsets, star-filled night skies, and the kind of wide-open vistas that make desert camping so appealing to outdoor enthusiasts.

One of the main draws to this area is the geothermal activity that makes the region special. Hot mineral springs have been valued for generations for their potential wellness benefits, and the natural hot water that emerges from deep within the earth creates a unique destination for those interested in geothermal tourism. The mineral-rich waters are a focal point for visitors looking to relax and rejuvenate during their travels.

Nearby, the Salton Sea offers additional outdoor recreation opportunities for those interested in exploring the region further. The area is also within reasonable driving distance of other Southern California attractions, making it suitable as a base camp for broader regional exploration. Birdwatchers and nature enthusiasts find the region particularly rewarding, with unique desert flora and fauna adapted to this distinctive low-elevation environment.

This location appeals to travelers seeking a quieter desert experience, those interested in geothermal and mineral spring wellness, retirees looking for peaceful RV communities, and adventurers wanting to explore one of California's most unique and least crowded regions. Just had another magical weekend camping here. This place is a gem. The riding is fantastic, and relaxing in the hot springs after a ride feels like pure luxury. The pools are clean, and the sites are all well maintained. The owners are lovely, always available and a pleasure to chat with. I highly recommend this place to anyone. We can’t wait to come back.

Saw a lot of camp spots and bungalows on our way out as well.

Even though the campground is being renovated (100+spots) it was a great retreat. Cal (the owner) was so helpful and full of history. The camp spots on snob hill were long and level. The bathrooms and showers were big and clean. Even the laundromat was nice. We drove our razrs right from camp and there were lots to see. Would definitely recommend this place and we will be back. We camped in a Motorhome with a trailer. There were four rigs in our group.

Wife and kids had an awesome experience. The pools were warm and full of fun campers. The trails lead to some amazing destinations, including the bat caves and trestles. The cabin we stayed in was clean and roomy. We will definitely be coming back.

I booked early specifically to get space one on snob hill. 1 day before arrival we received an email that we where pushed to space 2. Friday before we left for the 7 hr drive we where told the visitor in space 1 had extended their stay so had to bump us to space two. We had employees joining us who also got bumped. Space one has a fire pit that has enough area for all of us to hang out and enjoy. Unfortunately we where pushed out of that space. I have never seen or heard of a camp ground that would just push you to the next space because someone wanted to stay longer...absolutely blows my mind. We will never go back. It really isn't that nice. Enjoying a beautiful extended weekend in Calcity instead with much more riding.
