About Lost Hills RV Park

Campground in California.

Nestled in the heart of California's Central Valley, Lost Hills RV Park offers travelers a convenient home base for exploring one of America's most productive agricultural regions. Located at 14831 Warren Street in Lost Hills, this RV park provides a straightforward, practical stopping point for those traversing Highway 46 or exploring the broader Kern County area.

Lost Hills itself is a small, authentic farming community that gives visitors a genuine glimpse into California's agricultural heritage. The surrounding landscape is characterized by vast farmland, oil fields, and the kind of open spaces that define rural California. This area has historically been important to the state's economy, and today it remains a working landscape where you can witness the scale and scope of modern American agriculture up close.

The location offers excellent access to several regional attractions. Death Valley National Park is within a reasonable driving distance, making this park an appealing stopover for adventurers heading to or from that otherworldly desert destination. Visitors interested in California's natural wonders will also find the Sierra Nevada mountains accessible as a day trip for those willing to drive further north. The park serves as a practical launching point for exploring the broader Kern County region, including the town of Bakersfield with its museums, dining options, and cultural attractions.

The Central Valley offers a unique travel experience quite different from California's more famous coastal and mountain destinations. The wide-open skies, agricultural landscapes, and slower pace of small-town California provide a refreshing change of scenery. This area is particularly appealing during spring and fall when temperatures are moderate and the valley is particularly beautiful.

Lost Hills RV Park is ideal for travelers seeking an economical stopping point, those exploring Death Valley, or anyone interested in experiencing authentic rural California. Whether you're passing through on a longer journey or using the park as a base for regional exploration, the location offers good value and convenient access to Highway 46 and the surrounding region.

We needed a place with hook ups and propane for our virgin voyage with the new-to-us travel trailer. The staff were super helpful when we needed a refill of propane or when I had other questions. The little dog park was perfect to let my furry friends get some off-leash time. We don't have kids but that playground was so nostalgic! I haven't seen a slide like that since I was probably 11 or so. Location was good overall, although a little noisy because there are so many truck stops right at that exit. Lots of food options and Walmart was a short drive down the road to grab some other essentials. Would definitely stay here again if passing through.

Lost Hills KOA is definitely more of a pit stop than a vacation destination. It's conveniently located right off the freeway, making it an easy overnight stop if you're traveling through California. Perfect for a quick rest and recharge on a road trip, but not really a campground for a long stay.

We had an emergency- AC went out and we were traveling with pets we needed an emergency spot to land for the rest of day. Marisol was kind fast and helpful. She even brought us ice water and let our poor dog lay on the cool tile floor in the office. Beyond that the pool was clean as well as the showers and restrooms. Not fancy but well run and nice flat spaces for the RV. Thank you for helping us... There is an Indian food truck right near the office. I give that 5 stars! It was nice to be able to get dinner right there on the premises. The food truck is open at 9am, so we went back and got another meal for the road. We stop here every year. It's quiet. The showers are dated, but the water is nice and warm with good water pressure. I love to visit the goats that live alongside the property.... There is an Indian food truck right near the office. I give that 5 stars! I read a previous review of strong odor but didn’t smell any. At the time we went in August there were no flies or anything either. We think it’s a great overnight option for this last stretch on I5 before LA and will stay again. Next morning Ruben came over to help us with our slide top awning; he graciously helped us for 45mins in the August heat and loaned us his ladder and tools to make the repair. Thanks very much Ruben we appreciate you so much!
