About McCloud RV Park

Campground in California.

Nestled in the scenic town of McCloud, California, McCloud RV Park offers a peaceful retreat for travelers seeking the natural beauty of Northern California. Located at 106 Squaw Valley Road, this well-maintained RV park serves as an ideal base for exploring one of the region's most charming mountain communities.

McCloud is a historic lumber town situated near Mount Shasta, one of California's most iconic peaks. The area's elevation and mountain setting provide a refreshing escape from warmer climates, making it particularly appealing during summer months when travelers seek cooler temperatures and alpine scenery. The town itself retains much of its early 20th-century character, with tree-lined streets and a small-town atmosphere that many RV travelers find welcoming and authentic.

The surrounding landscape offers abundant outdoor recreation opportunities. Outdoor enthusiasts appreciate the proximity to hiking trails, fishing spots, and scenic drives through the Cascade Range. The McCloud River, known for its pristine waters and natural swimming holes, flows through the area and provides a stunning backdrop for exploration. Photography enthusiasts will find endless opportunities to capture the region's natural beauty, from forested vistas to mountain panoramas.

McCloud RV Park's location makes it convenient for visitors interested in exploring nearby attractions and outdoor activities. The town provides essential services and dining options for RV travelers, allowing visitors to enjoy local flavor without traveling far from their rigs. The park's 4.5-star rating from over 400 reviews reflects the positive experiences previous guests have enjoyed here.

This destination appeals to a diverse range of travelers: families seeking a mountain getaway, retirees wanting a slower pace in beautiful surroundings, outdoor adventurers planning hiking and fishing expeditions, and anyone looking to experience authentic Northern California mountain culture. Whether you're planning a weekend escape or a longer stay to fully explore the region, McCloud RV Park provides a comfortable home base for your mountain adventure.

I believe this is our 8th time staying at the McCloud RV Park! We have stayed in our Travel Trailer and in the cabins! The cabins are so nice, we often stay in them in the winter while we work on and visit our property in the forest. We love everything about this park and never consider staying elsewhere!

Choosing McCloud I looked into Hotels but decided on the McCloud RV Resort. I tried the A-frame the first night. Great for sleeping only, no electricity. Then I moved to a cabin. Beautiful, clean, cozy, has everything you need, except food. And it has electricity. 😀 The sound of the stream from the falls that runs past the cabins made it so relaxing while I sat and read and enjoyed a glass of wine. Warren and Tammy, owners, are fabulous people. I arrived early and was allowed to check in. Totally felt welcomed. The caretaker's, Anthony and Brittany are two of the sweetest, and personable young people (husband & wife) I've ever met. As busy as Anthony was, he helped jump start my car when I tried charging my phone for 45 minutes since there was no electricity in the A-frame. Brittany took time during her busy schedule to tell me about all the fun places to check out. Thank you all for a great stay. I will be back. I hope others will find time to check out the McCloud RV Resort. ~lori hagen

A Special Place with Even More Special People – McCloud RV Park McCloud RV Park is more than just a beautiful, peaceful getaway — it’s a place that feels like home the moment you arrive. Surrounded by the natural beauty of the mountains and shaded by tall pines, it offers everything you could want in a serene RV experience. The sites are spacious, the park is spotless, and the location is ideal for exploring all that the McCloud area has to offer. But what truly makes this place shine are the owners, Tammy and Warren. From the very beginning, they welcomed us not just as guests, but as friends. Their warmth, kindness, and genuine care for everyone who stays here is something rare and unforgettable. They’ve created a space that’s not only well-run and inviting, but filled with heart. Over time, Tammy and Warren have become dear friends, and our visits here now feel like coming home. They go above and beyond in every way — whether it’s sharing local tips, lending a helping hand, or simply stopping by for a friendly chat. Their presence is a big part of why we keep coming back. If you're looking for more than just a place to park your RV — if you're looking for connection, peace, and the kind of hospitality that stays with you long after you leave — McCloud RV Park is it. We can’t recommend it highly enough.
