We stayed one night at Mountain Valley RV Park in Tehachapi on Christmas evening while traveling to Arizona. The office was closed when we arrived, which we expected given the holiday, but we already knew our site number and had no trouble finding site 20. The park is laid out in a wide, open valley, and our site was on the side closest to the runway. It was plenty large for our 32-foot RV with a towed four-door Jeep, which made pulling in and getting situated straightforward. The site itself was already fairly level, so leveling was easy, and hooking up water and power went smoothly. It had just started to rain when we arrived, so we didn’t get a chance to walk around or explore the park much that evening. The campground was about a quarter full, which made it feel quiet and relaxed overall. I had read other reviews mentioning a barking dog at the far end of the park, and we did hear a dog barking occasionally, but it wasn’t constant and didn’t really affect our stay. The photos show the wide-open views across the valley toward the surrounding hills and the generous spacing at the sites, which was one of the better parts of staying here. Overall, the campground felt clean, well maintained, and calm, with nice open views that are typical of this part of Tehachapi, especially near the small airport and open grasslands. This is a good stop for travelers passing through who want an easy, no-frills overnight stay with room to maneuver larger rigs. If you’re looking for amenities or a resort-style park, this probably isn’t it, but for a quiet, practical stopover with good space and scenery, we would stay here again.

What a treasure! RV stop overnight. We loved the view from our chairs, sunrise/sunset on the golden hill side. Super quiet and dark at night. Bonus- adjacent to a glider port! We loved watching take off’s and landings. Wonderful cafe at the glider office with breakfasts big enough for two. Not super polished but makes up for it w charm and interesting things.

Quiet, small RV park. Outer sites have unobstructed view of the mountains. Perfect for sunset appreciation. Shower has handicap ♿️ bench and hand held shower headlights plenty of hit water. Door closes for complete privacy to stall.

Nice little RV park. Right next to an airfield with little planes flying above. Desk clerk warned about coyotes. Plenty of pull through spots for big and little rigs. Electric and water at sites. With a dump station on the property. My only complaint is the laundry machines you have to download an app and add at least $10 to an account. Just bring back coin operated machines

Love this park. It's well kept and very quiet. It's fun watching the gliders. We stayed here before and will return.
