The Tecopa area sits at the gateway to some of the most dramatic desert landscapes in California. You'll find yourself surrounded by otherworldly geology, with colorful badlands, salt flats, and stunning desert vistas that seem to stretch endlessly across the horizon. The nearby Death Valley National Park is within reasonable driving distance, making this an excellent base camp for exploring one of America's most iconic and extreme environments. The mineral-rich waters are believed to have therapeutic properties, and many guests make the journey specifically to experience their rejuvenating effects. After a day of exploring the surrounding desert landscapes, hiking through colorful badlands formations, or visiting nearby attractions, settling into the warm waters at sunset becomes an unforgettable ritual.

The Tecopa area appeals to a wide range of travelers. History enthusiasts will appreciate the region's mining heritage and the stories of prospectors who once worked these lands. Nature lovers find endless opportunities for photography, with dramatic lighting across desert formations during sunrise and sunset. Geology enthusiasts can study the colorful mineral-rich rock formations and learn about the unique geothermal features that make this region special. Those seeking wellness and relaxation find the hot springs an ideal destination for rejuvenation and stress relief.

An invitation to unplug and chill out. The motel is a great configuration with interior hallways and doors to 3 beautiful spacious soaking tubs. The labyrinth was a real treat. Make a reservation at Steak and Beer and then get breakfast down the road at the kit fox cafe. Nothing but chill funky vibes here!

Stumbled across this place on total accident but found a hidden gem. It is the only hot springs in this town that is open year round and there water is not treated with any chemicals it’s completely natural coming from the ground water. Very strict rules that have to be followed but well worth it. Be sure to bring your own water and ice

Hot springs were super hot, rooms were comfy and everything worked. They were very communicative about how to be prepared.

There were extention cords all over and only had a space heater. No showers in our room. We told Amy that the door lock did not work and she said that they don't lock their doors around here and walked away before we could try to resolve any issues. No Cell service and no wifi made it impossible contact anyone. You have to book directely through their web site. They don't care about satifying anyone at that point. Thats why they post rules upfront to cover themselfs l guess it is a red flag. They don't give a real receipt or answer their phones.

Best customer service after a long day of driving. Tent camping on a windy night was okay with winds. There are some trees at sites which the resort doesn’t have much of. The pools were hot and showers / bathrooms were clean. Super relaxing place with enough space to accommodate many soakers though it was not crowded on a Thursday. Speaking of, the camp site was quiet as well. I slept like a baby, even in my tent on a super windy night. The views at sunrise and sunset were beautiful. Such a great stopover right off the road if you’re heading toward Vegas or Death Valley.

The sites themselves are simple but peaceful, with plenty of room to relax and enjoy nature. The hot springs were a really nice perk, though something to note is that they are gender-segregated. They do have one co-ed/private soaking room so groups, couples, or families could enjoy them together. Overall, it’s a beautiful spot if you’re looking for a quiet, rustic getaway with very clean facilities—just keep the hot springs setup in mind depending on your preference. I’d definitely return for the serenity and cleanliness alone!

Fyi, I only used the hot springs access (15$ day pass), stopping here towards the end of the day full of driving. It was amazing! Gentleman at the desk was friendly and explained there are no swimsuits in the pools to not destroy the water's properties. The water itself was hot and super relaxing, my skin still feels nice and soft two days later. I highly recommend it.

Be specific on your stay to avoid any unnecessary charges or fees. To soak in the bath house current pricing per person is $15. I visited this day to soak and hike not to spend the night and I was allowed to park in the campground for the evening for easy access to local surroundings for quick strolls and hike. A+

LOVE THESE WATERS! I felt amazing and pain free by the time I left. New owners took over, they have some exciting plans taking place for the rest of the season. Also if you happen to be here after a rain, check out the flats down the road for a gorgeous view. I’ll be back!
