About Treasure Island RV Park

Campground in California.

Treasure Island RV Park offers a unique camping experience in one of America's most iconic locations. Situated at 1700 El Camino Real, this RV park provides convenient access to the San Francisco Bay Area while maintaining a more relaxed atmosphere than many urban campgrounds. The location serves as an excellent base for exploring the diverse attractions and vibrant culture that makes this region legendary.

San Francisco itself is a destination that captivates visitors from around the world. The Golden Gate Bridge, with its distinctive orange towers and sweeping cables, stands as perhaps the most recognizable landmark in America. A short drive from the park puts you within reach of this engineering marvel, whether you're photographing it from the Marin Headlands, walking across its span, or viewing it from scenic overlooks throughout the city. Beyond the bridge, San Francisco's neighborhoods each tell their own story. North Beach evokes an Italian village charm with its cafes and historic streets. The Mission District pulses with street art, craft breweries, and diverse culinary scenes. Haight-Ashbury remains a pilgrimage site for those interested in music and cultural history.

The Bay Area offers nearly unlimited exploration opportunities. Alcatraz Island tours provide fascinating glimpses into one of history's most notorious prisons. Cable cars wind through steep streets offering both transportation and entertainment. The Painted Ladies Victorian houses create iconic photo opportunities. Fisherman's Wharf buzzes with energy, restaurants, and sea lions lounging on nearby docks. For nature lovers, the surrounding Bay Area features numerous parks, hiking trails, and scenic vistas that showcase California's natural beauty.

This RV park appeals to travelers seeking urban access without downtown parking challenges. Whether you're visiting for a weekend getaway or a longer stay to thoroughly explore the region, having a home base with parking and accommodations takes the stress out of navigating this complex, multilayered destination. The San Francisco Bay Area's combination of natural beauty, cultural attractions, world-class food scenes, and historical significance makes it endlessly rewarding for curious travelers.

I don't know where these five star ratings are coming from especially when they talk about Henry. It took me 4 days of calling to get someone to answer the phone and after staying here for 2 months and 2 weeks I can say this is easily the worst Park I've ever stayed at and I travel the country for work and been doing so for 4 years. He refused to give me long-term stay prices because he said that there weren't any available for a year but I can count probably 30 to 40 different sites that have been empty the entire time I've been here and I will post pictures. He wouldn't let me pay the last 3 weeks one week at a time (even though he was charging me short-term prices) because I was not sure when I was leaving but when I called him a week before I needed to leave he refused to give me a refund on the last 6 days I would not need. Sometimes it's hard trying to figure out when to make your next reservation without losing a couple days here or there but when management acts like Henry it's impossible. Unfortunately it was the only park near my job, if you come to San Francisco with an RV it's worth staying at an outside Park and driving just to avoid Treasure Island mobile home and RV. I feel like I've been scammed.

I ended up changing my itinerary multiple times before arriving and the front office accommodated every adjustment without any issue. When I arrived, an employee personally guided me to my site and could not have been nicer about it. We were lucky enough to stay at this amazing RV park during the remodel of our home. It was a last minute decision for us to stay here and Henry was extremely accommodating. We have a shower and restroom in the RV, but the facilities here are so clean that we decided to shower there. The showers were disinfected on a regular basis and the four bathrooms with showers were always clean. There is a great little dog park to get your dog’s energy out. The people around us were very quiet and respectful. We were staying in the long term area, but the short term area was really close to us. It was so nice to see different families enjoying the area as well. Greta place to stay! Enjoyed every minute of it.

We were greated by Benjamin, who escorted us to our roomy space and helped get us all connected and oriented. We enjoyed the clean restrooms and showers, free wi-fi, a nice quiet night's sleep, before turning in our little home on the road. I highly recommend this place. The manager (Henry) was most helpful. I will be saving this location for future visits to the San Francisco area.

I have not even arrived yet but wanted to give the place a 5 star rating just based on my interactions with Henry, the manager. I had a complicated stay with nights in the RV park and some in storage etc. Henry followed up with me and walked me through the reservation process on the phone to be sure it was all done correctly. He does know his way around the system and makes it all work. Hats o... I have not even arrived yet but wanted to give the place a 5 star rating just based on my interactions with Henry, the manager.
