About Yreka RV Park

Campground in California.

Yreka RV Park offers a welcoming base for exploring one of Northern California's most historic and charming towns. Located in Siskiyou County, this RV park provides convenient access to the scenic Shasta-Trinity region, making it an ideal stopping point for travelers heading to or from Oregon, or those seeking to explore the natural beauty of far Northern California.

Yreka itself is a town steeped in Gold Rush history, with a well-preserved downtown district featuring Victorian-era architecture and authentic period buildings. The town earned its place in California history during the 1851 gold discovery, and visitors can walk through streets that tell stories of miners, merchants, and pioneers. The Yreka Western Railroad operates scenic train rides through the surrounding countryside, offering a unique perspective on the region's landscape and heritage. For history enthusiasts, the Siskiyou County Museum provides fascinating exhibits about local culture, mining heritage, and Native American history.

Beyond the town itself, the surrounding landscape offers remarkable outdoor opportunities. The proximity to the Klamath River makes this an excellent location for fishing, with opportunities to catch steelhead and salmon depending on the season. Hiking trails dot the region, providing access to forests, meadows, and mountain vistas. Castle Lake, located about thirty minutes away, offers a pristine alpine setting perfect for swimming, picnicking, and photography. Mount Shasta, one of California's most iconic peaks, looms majestically in the distance and serves as a stunning backdrop to the entire region.

The area appeals to a wide range of travelers. History buffs will appreciate the authentic Gold Rush heritage and well-maintained historic sites. Outdoor enthusiasts enjoy the fishing, hiking, and mountain scenery. Families appreciate the small-town atmosphere, manageable distances to attractions, and generally laid-back pace of the community. RV travelers particularly value Yreka's location as a convenient stopping point on major routes between Northern California and Oregon, offering a chance to explore before continuing their journey.

The town's hospitality extends to its dining and shopping options, with local restaurants and shops reflecting the character of this mountain community. Weather varies seasonally, with warm summers ideal for outdoor activities and mild spring and fall periods perfect for exploring without summer crowds.

Reached out to Selena who checked out road cameras and found out full extent of weather forecast. Later walked up to thank her and met Nick also. Who would have been the one who fills the propane for heat. Turned out that neither he or near by fuel station are Certified to fill anything but canisters. Having been self employed for over 50 years it is a throw back to customer service excellence. Greet people with a smile, be willing to assist by keeping them informed and be honest about what you can't provide. Turned out following day Selena let us know of window of clearing weather and road openings. Returned home safe and sound. Grateful campers Ceci and john simontacchi

We arrived a little after 5 pm and found someone in our assigned spot setting up their motorhome. When I told them we had been assigned the spot she was very apologetic and said there was someone in their assigned spot. She called the office lady who said “oh well just take B7” which was our assigned spot. Felt bad for them because they had already manually leveled their rig but there was not another spot big enough for our rig and tow vehicle. After a day of traveling this was very disappointing. Also no WiFi as advertised, dog park had no garbage can just a pile of poop bags on the ground and empty poop bag dispenser. This looks like the majority of spots are filled with long term residents. Will not stop here again. A pretty hokey operation

We stayed here for one night. Park itself is Great- quiet quests, well maintained, good water and electric, great guest services. Our low rating for location is due to proximity to truck stop and the trucks idling engines all night long. Bring ear plugs otherwise a great stop on I5.

This little RV Park has been a favorite one or ours over the past few years. We love the quiet atmosphere. I have watched them improving it over time. Staff is friendly and the showers/laundry are always clean. The have recently improved their community room. Great for groups traveling together and have a meet and great activity in.

Great RV Park with large pull-thru spaces. Slightly sloped but very easy to manage. Most sites have a trees and grass lawn outside your front door. Full-hookups. Truck stop next door for convenience items. Lola in the office is wonderful! Guests were respectful of quite time. No parties observed.
