Great hiking trail that is easy with little elevation gain. The rocks are lovely and a great place for families to spend some time. I went on a Sunday morning around 9 and did not run into too many others.

Beautiful area and trails. A very cool place to hang out for an afternoon with friends and family, or have a picnic. Trails of widely varying lengths abound and amazing pine trees tower in a well-preserved nature area.

The Red Rocks Group Campground Trail, located just outside Woodland Park is a must-do for visitors to the area. It's about a 10 minute drive north of Woodland Park on Highway 67. Watch for signs directing you to the Red Rocks Campground (to the right) make the turn, and drive until you get to a parking area just short of some overhead power lines. Follow the marked trail into the Red Rocks area... The Red Rocks Group Campground Trail, located just outside Woodland Park is a must-do for visitors to the area. Follow the marked trail into the Red Rocks area, and you'll be amazed at the rock formations in the middle of this forest, likely deposited by glaciers. This is a dirt trail, and I suspect it would be slippery / difficult in wet weather. But, we hiked on a clear day, are both 69 years old, and I was wearing an arm brace form a recent surgery. We did just fine, even tho there is a slight gain in elevation as you go. ENJOY !
