Tons of quality dispersed camping! I got a spot in the very back with incredible views (see pics). Many dozens of site choices. Stayed at several dispersed camping areas around Nederland, and this one was my favorite.

My family has been coming up here for 3 years now and we absolutely love it. Except for the people who shoot their guns off (no shooting allowed up here) it's a great spot. There are bears and moose up here but seems to only go after the spots of 2-4. Our tent got destroyed on night 3. Lol. The creek water is great to wash dishes, take showers, and cook with if you boil it.

Id give it 5 stars if it had cell service. But. Im doing something that requires it. And lack of water access can be an issue. Ots a very primitive simple camping area. Designated sites are spread out. Dispersed camping is allowed. *Accessing some areas may require high clearance vehicle. Good for rock hounding.

Great campground when we went. We went on a Sunday and it wasn't to packed but there was some trash left by people right in the front part of the trails leafing to the deeper campsites. The trail isn't to bad, but deeper you get there are some more difficult spots that cars may not be able to get through but trucks and jeep type vehicles shouldn't ha e to hard of a time. Overall great experience!

My family has picked this spot over the years due to the Barker resivour down in Nederland. Absolutely beautiful and the peace you get while camping is amazing. In town is a friendly spot with the locals welcoming you. The only thing I personally don't care for is all the "target" practice that goes on up there. If you want a place to camp for free this is it. No bathroom or showers or water so be... My family has picked this spot over the years due to the Barker resivour down in Nederland.
