Estes Park is popular during peak season. Reserve 2-4 weeks in advance for weekends and holidays.
Most parks have check-in after 1:00 PM and check-out by 11:00 AM. Call ahead if you'll arrive late.
Colorado weather can change quickly. Pack layers and check the forecast for Estes Park.
Don't miss local attractions near Estes Park. Ask the camp host for hidden gems and trails.

I visited this park with my parents the last week of the season. The lots are small. There are no fire rings. Our lot did not have the picnic table that was supposed to be included. We had to ask for one and then we were asked multiple times if they could take it back because they wanted to get it done before the end of the season. Either you're open or you're not. Our lot did not have the picnic table that was supposed to be included. We had to ask for one and then we were asked multiple times if they could take it back because they wanted to get it done before the end of the season. Either you're open or you're not. There should not be less amenities than you pay for on the last week of the season. The WiFi was also shut off early for the season. Shout out to one staff member who let us use his personal WiFi for the week. He was great and is the only reason this review is getting two stars for service instead of one. The rest of the staff was rude and unhelpful. The laundry room was also closed three days before the last day. If things are not going to be available then there should be a deep discount for those days. The only standout about this location is that it is as close as you can get to Rocky Mountain National Park without staying in the park itself. I would not recommend staying here if you have another option.

Very nice, friendly and helpful staff. Large, flat sites each with a picnic table. Great views right along the river. Walking distance to several restaurants, a well-stocked local grocery store, gas station and gift shop. Near RMNP entrance. Would definitely return.

A nice park that's well maintained. Bathrooms are clean, we used the laundry room, they have a location to wash dogs, a small pond, and the Big Thompson River runs along the park. Great location too. It's located on the edge of Estes Park and within 2 miles of the Rocky Mountain National Park entrance.
