Let me tell you about John and Lana! They are the most amazing people I have ever met. This was totally fine because I looked at the map beforehand and had a pretty good idea of where the site was, so we went to the site and were blown away by the views and just started setting up camp. I got a call and a text later from the host, who was very nice. The experience was perfect in my opinion. Thank you so much, we loved our campsite.

I cannot say enough good things about this place. We rented the cabin, and the people here are so sweet and accommodating! The heat works very well, and it comes with all of the basics you need to cook and be comfortable. The grounds are VERY well maintained. Theres several seating areas with amazing views, a nice kids park, access to the river and a dog park. We have thoroughly enjoyed our week here and will definitely be back. 1000/10 recommend to anyone.

We stayed here for 4 days recently but would have stayed longer if we'd had the time. The camp itself seem to be well organized and running well. It was a clean camp and the views were spectacular. The sites directly on the river have a view you only see in pictures. Truly beautiful scenery. Be sure you bring plenty of ice and propane because you won't get any here. Also, no trash can at the dog park and the only place to throw anything away is in their dumpsters on the far end of the property. The staff is nice and the property is beautiful but that's about all they have going.

We were very fortunate to get an RV reservation here over Labor Day weekend about a week in advance of the holiday weekend, and we really appreciated the shady RV spots and grassy areas that each RV spot included. It’s a pleasant setting and a nice family campground with hummingbird feeders and pleasant landscaping near the river. On the down side, there are only two bathrooms here—both are single person bathrooms with toilet, sink, and shower. This means if both showers are being used, it might take awhile to get access to a sink or toilet. If the campground would simply add a jiffy john or two, it would make a big difference. Still, a pleasant setting about 20 minutes from Salida.
