A nice little somewhat secluded, but easily accessible campground about 10 miles northeast of Pagosa Springs. Wood bundles are available from the campground høst for $10. I think the høst was named Jude and he was a gem. Sites were blown clean of debris and needles from the large Ponderosa Pines in the area. Although the restrooms didn't smell the best, they were clean. There were numerous paths down to the River as well. Would definitely stay here again. Made the reservations on recreation.gov. Have no issues with the $32 for the site, but the $8 reservation fee is getting out of hånd. If this would go back to the government or for improvements at the site, that would be fine However, I am pretty sure that all just goes to the vendor.

Jude, host, was super nice and helpful. We enjoyed our stay. The mosquitos were pretty fierce but WalMart deet-free repellent kept them at bay. Beautiful area.

You can hear the river flowing from the campgrounds which provides an amazingly peaceful atmosphere. The vaulted toilets were clean and appeared to be well maintained. There are dumpsters available to deposit trash, and some of the sites have grills and picnic tables. I definitely will camp here again in the future.

It was our first time coming to Colorado to camp and boy were we glad we found this amazing site! Very clean, accessible, and conveniently spaced from town. Mary and buddy (the dog) were the campground hosts and they were amazing she kept everything clean and well stocked! Camping site has bathroom and toilet paper. Good place to camp and explore lots of trails and water!

Stayed almost a week in Aug, nice break from our TX heat. Our spot for our camper was quite uneven and tiny, but can't complain with how beautiful our view was.
