Gateview Campground is located in a deep, narrow canyon at the extreme south end of the Lake Fork Arm of Blue Mesa Reservoir. Take CO Highway 149 7 miles west of Powderhorn, then 6 miles north on the gravel Blue Mesa Cutoff Road. All sites are first-come first-served. Gateview is best suited for tent camping. Due to the narrow gravel road, even small RVs or pop-up trailers are not recommended. Elevation: 7538 feet

Great free campground! 6 spots, first come first served. Single vault toilet. Beautiful and quiet location. Long gravel road to get there, but doable in a low clearance car. I made it without issue in a Nissan Altima. Some people coming and going for fishing, but nobody else was camping. Great star viewing. Each of the 6 spots has a fire ring and picnic table.

Beautiful, not a soul there after passing the full redbridge campground. It is worth driving out to and spending a night! The trail has been washed out though so I couldn’t find the way to the actual Gateview section.

Few sights for tent only, and one for possible super small trailer. Has toilet and picnic tables close to Lake Fork river if you want to try some fishing. Nice area.

Great and mostly private. Bathroom but no shower or sink. Great river access and a big campsite right by the river.
