Great location. The campsites are spacious and feel private. Great bear boxes. The pit toilets might be some of the cleanest I've ever seen. The staff is also very friendly. Site 11 is close to the river which is nice but the site itself isn't very level and it was hard to find a spot for our tent. They best place was a spot which was under some trees but the was close to some restrooms. The table kept rocking as well because it couldn't be leveled. Depending on the wind you can expect to smell the pit toilets. I really liked the campground and would definitely come back but I'd probably look for another campsite.

Gorgeous campground 10 minutes from Vail. Enjoy the sound of the creek (and a little highway noise) at one of their fairly secluded sites. Pictured, is site 23. Note that sites 20-25 do require a short hike in. Level tent area, picnic table, fire pit, and bear proof box provided at each. Bathrooms located in the parking lot - seriously, the cleanest camping bathrooms I've ever had! Simple booking... Gorgeous campground 10 minutes from Vail. Gore Creek worked well for us for two nights on our way through. We have an F350 and an 18' trailer and most sites were fine. The sites by the creek are beautiful, although if you have very small children you'll need to watch them as the water moves fast and the snowmelt continues into the summer. Gorgeous campsite!!! The bathrooms were the cleanest I've seen. A bear box and picnic table are provided. But a few things were unfortunate: 1. They have a very fine powdery dirt at the campsite which stuck to everything. I've never been to a campsite with it before so if you have children or dogs they will get extremely dirty. 2. The firewood we purchased here was awful. It wasn't under a cover... Gorgeous campsite!!! The bathrooms were the cleanest I've seen. A bear box and picnic table are provided. I've never been to a campsite with it before so if you have children or dogs they will get extremely dirty. 2. The firewood we purchased here was awful. It wasn't under a cover and was wrapped in plastic but I think it will got wet because we could not keep our fire going and tried so very hard. Just smoke. 3. It is very close to I-70 so we could hear traffic, especially at night time. 4. The small trash bins were very full. Also FYI black bears are very prevelant in the area so be prepared!
