This campground was amazing. I could have stayed here for a week easily. We went paddleboarding a few times and on a hike around the lake. The views were stunning. The camp hosts were so nice and informative. The only reason I took a star away was because the road coming down off of Grand Mesa scenic byway was meant to be a one way road but they had closed off the exit to work on it therefore it was 2 ways. It was so narrow that there was no way 2 rvs would be able to pass on it. The hosts were nice enough to go to the top and stop traffic coming down so we could leave. We also had spotty service there.

Most campsites have absolutely no view of the lake- much less easy access to it. The camp hosts this summer were super friendly and helpful and kept the many pit toilet bathrooms very clean. The tall trees are beautiful and each camp site has adequate space for camping and cooking and hanging out. Hammock opportunities abound. Cold potable water was available in late June. The nearby lodge has a small shop for some camping necessities and ice. Easy access to a couple of bike and hiking trails.

Great spot to camp on the Mesa. The campsites are very spacious and offer plenty of privacy. The camp hosts were available and friendly. We had the best time here.

It was beautiful! Most sites had some nice tree cover. 10/10 would go again.

We had a beautiful spot in the woods. Be forewarned....getting to the campground was treacherous. One lane very rocky road. No way out except back up the one lane road. Not sure what we will do if a trailer comes down the ONE LANE ROAD while we drive our trailer out.🙏
