Went back in 2017 and totally forgot to write a review of this incredible trip. Met family there and kids loved this experience, as did the adults. The views are incredible and the hummingbirds are everywhere; including one that got caught inside the top of the tower. Glad we reserved this place, instead of camping outside due to the summer thunderstorms that roared through every afternoon/evening... Glad we reserved this place, instead of camping outside due to the summer thunderstorms that roared through every afternoon/evening. It was nice to be inside and held us all during these storms. The sunsets were incredible every night and we felt alone on top of the mountain. It was a painful process to get this and I tried for years to reserve, so ended up emailing them and they were so nice to give us the following year (2017) to come up and enjoy the serene environment.

I learned of this place years ago and have had it on my list ever since, but the telephone reservation system was painful and I gave up after a few years of trying. That is until they moved to an online reservation system, which was a huge step in the right direction. I was able to reserve two nights although they were not consecutive nights due to my narrow travel window and drawn out reservation... Everything about this experience felt so old-school and authentic. If you have a chance to experience it you will see what I mean. I don't even know where to start. Loved it! Highly recommend it!
