It's difficult to describe just how beautiful this place is. We've stayed in the fall and winter and regardless of season - it's breathtaking. The accommodations are comfortable, clean, and tie into the setting perfectly. There is no shortage of activities to take part in. Staying at AVR has become one of our family's favorite traditions.

We booked through HipCamp last minute and I am glad they were still able to accommodate us. The drive to the ranch was just beautiful! You’ll pass by a couple of ski resorts and beautiful small towns that are worthy of visiting! The ranch it self was surrounded by water, we booked Camp 24 and it was just perfect for me and my boyfriend and his Sprinter Van. It was also in front of the lake/river... The ranch it self was surrounded by water, we booked Camp 24 and it was just perfect for me and my boyfriend and his Sprinter Van. It was also in front of the lake/river so that was a great plus! We didn’t book any rooms so my 5 star rating is for the toilet that was well maintained and cleaned. We arrived after 5pm so there was no one to check us in but we really appreciate the welcome map addressed to me that led us to our campsite. Another 5 star. And lastly, the ranch is just perfect for first timers like us as it was very accessible. There’s a small town 25mins away that has a City Market and pretty much everything you’ll need. We bought 2 bags of wood but that was definitely not enough. Luckily there were a lot of old woods on the ground that we were able to use. We also tried to fish but no luck on that. Overall, the experience was amazing and I can’t wait to go back with our friends there.

We absolutely loved it here! The area is absolutely stunning. The cabin was nice and we cooked all our meals here, went hiking right outside the property and also drove to the hot springs. It was the perfect holiday getaway. Our pups loved it as well, and it's so nice to be able to bring them on adventures with us.

We love this tucked away spot and consistently return for our mountain getaways. Every time the staff is welcoming and regularly makes upgrades! Little things like having snowshoes and ice skates included and accessible, or books and games to borrow from the lodge are the type of details that really set this place apart!

We spent the Christmas holiday here and had a great time! The place was definitely a bit sleepy (seems more like a summer spot) but still had great amenities available. We stayed in an arrowhead cabin and while it had a few minor wear and tear items it wasn't anything that affected our trip. Our family just enjoyed our very first stay at Sun Outdoors, and we are absolutely thrilled with our experience! From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the stunning accommodations and the incredibly welcoming staff. The grounds are nothing short of spectacular, and the location is perfect—just a short 20-minute drive to Rocky Mountain National Park. I wholeheartedly recommend visiting... From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the stunning accommodations and the incredibly welcoming staff. The grounds are nothing short of spectacular, and the location is perfect—just a short 20-minute drive to Rocky Mountain National Park. I wholeheartedly recommend visiting this RV park, especially during the fall season. The foliage is truly breathtaking, and we are pleasantly surprised to discover that the trees here rival the famed autumn colors of the Northeast! Every corner of the park is adorned with vibrant hues, making it a perfect backdrop for unforgettable family memories. Let's just say, we’re already reluctant to leave! I must take a moment to give a special shout-out to Mitch, who works behind the bar at Summit Bar & Grill. He went above and beyond to make us feel like family, serving up not only delicious but beautifully crafted drinks that added a special touch to our evenings. If you come to experience the natural beauty of Sun Outdoors and the Rocky Mountains, make sure to stop by Summit Bar & Grill and say “hello” to Mitch from us!

My husband and I absolutely love this place. We try to visit a few times a year and always look forward to it. It's a beautiful area with mountain views, the grounds are clean and walkable, there is plenty to do on location such as swimming in the pool, playing in the basketball or tennis areas, eating at the restaurants, etc. and it is close to RMNP as well as multiple lakes. Mitch and his wonder... My husband and I absolutely love this place. We try to visit a few times a year and always look forward to it. Mitch and his wonderful wife (I'm so sorry, I forgot her name, but she is fantastic) made us feel so welcome and taken care of on our latest visit. They went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed and that we were having a lovely visit. I truly felt that they cared and it was really nice to meet such kind people. Everything from the rooms to the activities to the staff is amazing here! We cannot wait to visit again!

I rented the Arrowhead studio for a few days while I'm moving out of my house. I have a pet and they do allow pets in this unit. This studio is clean, charming and comfortable. This studio is clean, charming and comfortable. The white washed wooden interior is so pretty, there is a microwave, refrigerator, sink and it is stocked with dishes, silverware, glasses, cups and a Keurig. The bathroom is generously sized, and for a mountain cabin, it's very nicely done. It's almost spa like. There is a small dining table and a comfy sofa as well as a king size bed. The sofa opens up into a sleeper. There is a Weber gas grill and a fire pit. During the summer there is a picnic table but they store them away during the winter so they can plow the cement patio. There is a large covered deck with Adirondack chairs and I even have a view of the mountains. Because it's winter the pool is closed but two hot tubs are operating as well as one restaurant. I'm hitting the hot tub today and planning on checking out the restaurant for lunch. However if you're traveling with kids during the summer months the pool is very nice and the pool restaurant is open then. They also have larger cabins as well as nice RV sites. It's close to Granby and just a hop, skip and a jump from Grand Lake and Rocky Mountain National Park. I'm loving the Arrowhead Studio.

Off season cabin rental. The place had a grill, microwave and mini fridge. The shower was spacious and the bed was comfortable, they had Adirondack chairs on the covered porch and the star gazing view was amazing. TV mounted on the wall with cable was a bonus. We’ve been here camping many times with our camper, but didn’t want to hassle with it this time in November.
