Skiing (XC) off the front porch of the Y rental cabin got us here five trips ago and will keep us coming back to make memories together!!

We had a wonderful stay overall — the location is beautiful, the atmosphere is cozy, and most of the facilities were great for families. However, the pool policy was extremely disappointing and honestly upsetting. Requiring children up to 12 years old to wear arm floaties or life vests — regardless of their swimming ability — felt unreasonable. I saw multiple kids upset and embarrassed, including my own 7-year-old daughter, who didn’t even want to enter the pool because she felt uncomfortable wearing a life vest. Parents were present and actively supervising their children. This is a small indoor pool — not the open ocean. The lifeguards felt overly strict to the point where it created stress rather than safety. If the concern is for toddlers, perhaps create a separate area for ages 0–3, or reconsider the current policy. As it stands, the rule takes away from what should be a fun family experience. Everything else was lovely, but this policy seriously affected our stay.

We weren't sure what to expect, but between the recreation center, the delicious breakfast buffet and the beautiful scenery, we'll definitely be back. The staff is young but super friendly and knowledgeable, the beds were soft and comfortable and the gorgeous property expands for miles. We came with our 6 and 13 year old boys, both of which really enjoyed themselves!

Hello, if you are considering staying here, rethink your decision. Aside from the beautiful scenery that you could get at Devils Thumb Ranch, the man who greeted us treated me so rudely. Aside from the beautiful scenery that you could get at Devils Thumb Ranch, the man who greeted us treated me so rudely. When I called to see if we could get an early check-in, they said no and were difficult. However one person finally treated me kindly and helped us. This is so disappointing as I wanted this to be special for my family, but aside by being g treated rudely by this one man at the front desk, the room is horrible. Don’t stay here. Also heard that they treat their staff badly, from a source we heard from, which is very disappointing. I wish we could get a refund!

Don’t waste your money here. Have had nothing but issues with the “new system”. They tried to charge me multiple times, because the system didn’t transfer and then of course it takes days to get your money back. The food was not good, over salted and burnt. The bagels were hard as rocks, not a lot of food options out there. Especially for kids. Most everything was outdated, and people were rude. T... Don’t waste your money here. The food was not good, over salted and burnt. The bagels were hard as rocks, not a lot of food options out there. Especially for kids. Most everything was outdated, and people were rude. There was pee on the walls in the bathrooms behind the toilets. And this was in the “newer” lodge.
