This campground is a real gem. Of 11, there are 4 good sites directly on the river. Because it is just west of RMNP and at 9,000 feet, there are daily showers. Because it is just west of RMNP and at 9,000 feet, there are daily showers. Dress warm, the temperature drops a lot! There has been a lot of tree remediation, leaving many sites devastated. This is NOT a developed campground. There are no tent pads or grills. No water, no trash, and a campground host from Jack’s gulch who is friendly and helpful. If the signs say no fires, go down the road and talk with them. They will tell you if there is actually a fire ban or bears in the area. This is my happy place! Please take good care of it if you go!

This is an older campground. Stayed over the weekend and absolutely loved it. Little over 50 miles from Fort Collins. Remote area, must pack in your own water. Our campsite was right next to the river. Would definitely go back to this campground.
