While on a road trip from the San Francisco Bay Area to Northern Colorado in mid-August, 2021, we stayed at this campground for 1 night and had no problem finding a flat site on a Sunday afternoon -- the campground was very sparsely occupied. The cool temperature at this elevation was a welcome relief from the heat at lower elevations. There is easy access from the campground to the Flat Tops Wilderness Area trailheads, as well as to Trappers Lake. This is actually one of 5 campgrounds in this immediate area, making up the Trappers Lake campground group.
