We set up 2 tents at FF site #1. While all are close to the road (campground parallels road) and I'm a light sleeper, there is little traffic between 9 pm and at least 7 am and the Taylor River across road provides lovely background sounds. Nice trees and ample space between sites. Fishing access is right there and host Bob takes good care of the facility and everyone there.

Beautiful, clean campground that is very well maintained. Beautiful views and so many places to explore. Hosts went above and beyond to be sure we were comfortable. Birds and deer galore. An amazing experience you won't want to miss.

This was one of our favorite sites on a trip with three young kids through the desert southwest and mountain west. The scenery is very pretty with pines, boulders, rocky cliffs, and the Taylor River. The bathroom is a pit toilet, but it was the cleanest I have seen in Colorado. There were only a couple of campers present on the week night I was there so it was very quiet. The road does create some noise but traffic was very light when I was there.

Haven't stayed at many campgrounds but this, by far, was the coolest. The setting was absolutely beautiful! Bunch of nice smelling Ponderosa pines (or similar). The grounds were well maintained by the gentleman staying there for the Summer. No problems accessing water or restrooms. Great time!
