This well-maintained national forest campground provides the perfect basecamp for travelers seeking to explore some of Colorado's most beautiful wilderness areas while enjoying the freedom and flexibility that RV camping provides.

The setting here is truly special. Towering evergreens frame the campsites, creating natural windbreaks and providing welcome shade during warm afternoons. The forest environment offers that authentic camping experience many RV enthusiasts crave, with the sights and sounds of nature as your constant companions. Morning birdsong and the gentle rustle of pine needles in the breeze set the tone for peaceful days ahead. The air is crisp and clean, and stargazing here is exceptional, especially during clear mountain nights when the Milky Way stretches across the sky in all its glory.

Rosy Lane's location positions it as an excellent hub for exploring Colorado's incredible outdoor recreation opportunities. The campground itself maintains the balance that makes national forest camping so appealing. It provides the infrastructure RV campers need while preserving the natural, undeveloped character that draws people to forest camping in the first place. Great campsites along the Taylor River. We have stayed here several times. Campsites 1-2 and 15-19 are adjacent to the county road, which has little traffic after 10:30 pm. Site 3 is our favorite so far. It is a walk-up site, meaning nobody can reserve it months in advance. Site 3 has a short path leading to the river.
