We had a very comfortable night at this campground and loved the location! There were lots of individuals up moving at 2am for sunrise hikes which resulting in talking and door slamming, which might wake you up. If you want to avoid that, join the crowd! First come first serve which was a little nerve racking but it is nice that the opportunity is there.

This campground sits at the base of Long's Peak. The campsites don't have great views for the most part, however, once you set up camp, find the trail head and go up (make sure you bring good shoes, water, and snacks! Start early, because you'll be on it for hours!) The woods are pristine and the hike is about a 20% grade and Rocky. For those who can do the 6 mile hike they will see a glacier at... Waterfalls and beauty await you here!

We really enjoyed our stay here! The shower facilities were down, but we were only here two nights. The campsites are set up very well with a raised box for your tent and a nice picnic table. Someone came by every morning to clean the sites of people who had left!

We camped here for a night and had no problems. The campground host was polite and gave us the information about the campground. We took a hike to chasm lake and got some fantastic views of Longs peak. It was a bit expensive at $26 a night especially because the shower house was closed. I would stay here again if I needed to.

The camp host here is absolutely amazing and super friendly! We found the last camping pad and it had a lot of water on it (it had just rained). He brought over several tools to help us get drain all the water. He was super knowledgeable about the campground and surrounding area.
