Wellington is popular during peak season. Reserve 2-4 weeks in advance for weekends and holidays.
Most parks have check-in after 1:00 PM and check-out by 11:00 AM. Call ahead if you'll arrive late.

Rented a cabin for a few nights. It was a great experience. My kids are older and they loved the pickle ball and quad pong. The place has plenty of amenities a great camper kitchen, and the people are so kind there. Yes you can smell cows if the wind switches, and i70 you can hear kinda, so location is not perfect but it is a great campground.

Allows pit bulls and aggressive dogs. We lived here for 3 months with our registered service dog (border collie), parked texted to 2 aggressive pit bulls that would shake their camper to try to attack my dog. Laundry is expensive and the workers don't like to be inconvenienced. Our last day they didn't want to fill our propane because "we were leaving". Corporate doesn't return calls or complaints... Just finishing up a month stay at the Wellington KOA. Firstly, site and property maintenance are 10/10! The staff is super kind and meticulous with their care. They are fully invested in the park, and it shows. Saltwater pool closed for the season on the day we arrived, but I don’t swim anyway. Saltwater pool closed for the season on the day we arrived, but I don’t swim anyway. There is a covered community grill and pergola, a play park, day room and walking trail. The only negative is the manure smell that invades the park, daily. It smells quite ‘farmy’ most days, as it’s a rural area. Overall, we loved our time here. 10/10 would rec!

We were greeted by a staff member saying the office closed at 12 and we needed to hurry up and get inside to check in. Upon arrival to the office, we see a sign that says check-in is at 12 o’clock. When we get to the counter, she said it’s a $15 extra fee for early check-in and check-in is at 1 o’clock however, the office is closed from 12 to 2. So you either have to pay for the “early check in” or wait until the office reopens. Overall, we did not feel welcome in this park. The sites were very narrow and we had difficulty finding a spot to park our truck in our site. The site was pretty uneven as well. We had to put 4 blocks under our fully extended steps. The roads were pretty narrow so it was a good thing there wasn’t a trailer across from us so we could make a very wide turn. Luckily, we were only there for one night.

We stayed in a pull through spot just overnight. We did not hook up to water pressure or sewage. The site was level. Bathrooms were clean. Although not a dig, but the roads were extremely skinny, especially coming into the park so those of us who have the 40 foot motor coaches with a tow behind makes it a little challenging to get in, but it’s doable. Staff was extremely friendly. We had to help a couple find their spot since each one of the roads are named after an animal, and those markings are only displayed at the end of the street not at the beginning of the street, which was kind of odd. We will be going back.
