About Ouray RV park

Campground in Colorado.

Nestled in the heart of Colorado's San Juan Mountains, Ouray RV Park offers travelers a gateway to some of the most spectacular alpine scenery in the American West. This highly-rated destination serves as the perfect base camp for exploring one of Colorado's most charming mountain towns, where Victorian-era buildings line streets surrounded by towering peaks that seem to touch the sky.

Ouray itself is a treasure for outdoor enthusiasts and those seeking authentic mountain town character. The town sits at nearly 7,800 feet elevation, cradled by dramatic cliff formations and pristine wilderness. The surrounding area is a playground for hikers, with trails ranging from gentle walks through wildflower meadows to challenging alpine adventures. The famous Ouray Ice Park draws visitors from around the world during winter months, transforming frozen waterfalls into a vertical playground. In warmer seasons, the nearby Uncompahgre River offers excellent opportunities for fishing and water recreation.

The region's natural beauty extends far beyond the town limits. Within short driving distances, you'll discover the stunning Million Dollar Highway, a scenic byway that winds through some of Colorado's most breathtaking mountain passes. Nearby attractions include the historic mining towns of Silverton and Telluride, each with their own unique character and attractions. The area is rich with history, from abandoned mining operations to well-preserved Victorian architecture that tells stories of Colorado's silver boom era.

Ouray RV Park positions guests perfectly for exploring this remarkable corner of Colorado. The town itself offers excellent local restaurants, galleries, shops, and a genuine mountain community atmosphere that many travelers find irresistible. Whether you're an adventurer seeking challenging hikes and outdoor pursuits, a history buff interested in Colorado's mining heritage, or simply someone who wants to immerse themselves in mountain scenery and fresh alpine air, Ouray delivers an unforgettable experience. Great location, we've stayed here a few times. Loved the cabin, however the bed was extremely firm and uncomfortable. Nice view outside on the deck, we appreciated the cookware and mini kitchen. Such a great little Airbnb find! The cabins were cozy and fully stocked with everything we needed. Even though the bathrooms are separate, they were clean and warm—no issues at all. Clean room, warm, comfy beds, good parking. No elevators, that I could see, at the Inn so make sure you ask for a lower level if you cannot climb stairs. The store stayed open until 9 PM and they have s'mores sticks if you ask for them. Their service was great, I asked for an iron and they gladly provided one to borrow. We only stayed one night but we would go back again. There's a nice little scenic walk by the cabins, but walk on the other side of the small rock pony wall to stay away from the cabins that, I'm sure, want their privacy.

This is my family's second time visiting the Ouray Riverside Resort and Cabins this year, and the second time we stayed in Cabin C. This is my family's second time visiting the Ouray Riverside Resort and Cabins this year, and the second time we stayed in Cabin C. My husband works VERY hard, so being able to take this trip with him and my girls really meant a lot, because its very rare that we get an entire week with him. The cabin looked beautiful inside and my girls loved having their own room..however, when we returned home, we discovered a nightmare..BED BUGS!!! I did not go anywhere new, I got them from the cabins. After HOURS of cleaning, having to throw away my daughters' beds and bedding, their entire mattresses, cleaning the couches vigorously, I cried for hours. After sobbing, I call them to let them know, and believe it or not, they did not even APOLOGIZE. no sympathy, no sorry.. just a cold "we will fumigate" I spent over $1000 and I do not even get a SORRY. do they not realize how expensive mattresses and bedding are? Do they care that one of my children had an allergic reaction to the bites their bugs gave her? Do they not understand the fear felt when you discover bed bugs in your home? I would have really appreciated an offer of my money back, a LARGE amount of money that I spent and we work hard for! But I didn't even get a SORRY and that makes me and my problems feel very ignored!! Please, think twice before staying here! The first time I came, I didn't even have a toilet in my cabin. I will NEVER be back, and I truly hope my review opens some eyes. You will not be valued by this company and you just might come home with some very unwanted guests!

100% recommend! We stayed in one of the cabins that does not have running water and even with that it was amazing! We almost now prefer it that way!
