The area is very crowded with high speed watercraft (sometimes reckless) during the weekends so kayaks and canoes be careful. The backside of Selden Neck is much quieter but be sure to bring bug spray. The island itself is a great place to explore. The campsites are nice but exposed to view from the busy waterway.

Once you find where to start, the trails are very well marked and maintained. But there are no street or highway signs directing you to the park so we had to drive around quite a bit to find a trail head.
