It is a nice campsite with a fire pit and a picnic bench. There are a couple spots to pitch a tent. Trees provide some nice shade. The hike in is a little over a mile and was quick and easy. The hike in is a little over a mile and was quick and easy. Trails are scenic, well marked and maintained. The two negatives of this site is that it is close to the trail and you can hear highway traffic at night. I went on a weekday for an overnight trip and didn't see anyone else out there. Make sure to hang your food in a tree away from your tent. I could hear wild animals sniffing around my campsite which was a little unnerving. There were many owl calls during the night, and even packs of coyotes yelping which was neat. I found some gator tracks near the campsite in the marshy wet area. Im going to hike further into the swamp next tome to get away from the highway.

Lovely campsite, a downside is it's right on the trail. Loads of opportunities to explore the Green Swamp once familiar with the forest roads and trails.
