This campground is nice! Clean, well kept. So quiet despite a highway sorta nearby. We hear no road noise. A nice lake onsite. And Holmes Creek runs right along the back side of this campground property. When I search All Trails for places to hike when we got here, Holmes Creek has a 4.8 rating. It's a wonderful creek for canoes or kayaks. This campground has rentals available at very fair pric... This campground is nice! Clean, well kept. So quiet despite a highway sorta nearby. When I search All Trails for places to hike when we got here, Holmes Creek has a 4.8 rating. It's a wonderful creek for canoes or kayaks. This campground has rentals available at very fair prices including the gear you need. You can walk from your site to the creek and kayak off and on all day if you like that. They have some nice amenities, like hammocks setup for use, a great covered and lighted pavilion that at least a dozen people could hang out in, some outside games available (corn hole and horse shoes), a bird aviary with a surprising number of birds, an amazing gift shop onsite, a playground for kids, and a cool dock including chairs if you just want to sit near the creek and soak in nature. This place will stay on our short list for visiting the area.

Wouldn’t stay here again if it was fully paid. Crazy paying so much money to be treated as if you’re on probation by a judgmental and entitled woman running the campground. Also the murky creek didn’t come close the photoshopped pictures advertised with the place. She acts as if there’s a honor system with everything but meanwhile keeps deer cams everywhere in hidden areas. Wouldn’t advise anyone... Wouldn’t stay here again if it was fully paid. The new owners are awesome! They’ve fixed up most of the park and are working on adding more amenities. All the sites are HUGE and you can see the lake from pretty much every spot, very cool! We enjoyed passing through briefly but I believe they mainly cater to longer term stays. Very affordable rates either way! 5/5 stars from us!!🤩🤩
