It's a very nice quiet place with not much going on but that's what we like about it so much. Bring your boat they have docks you can also fish off the docks or just sit and talk with the locals

I previously gave this place 5 stars as we have stayed there many winters on and off. New management has run this place to the ground. The docks are all trashed and unsafe. The boat ramp has a huge hole in it. The facilities are run down or closed most of the time. Hurricane damage can only be used as an excuse for so many years. I found a 3br house with pool less then 5 miles away cheaper then they wanted for their rental camper. When I asked for pictures of the interior of the camper, I was told no. Thats what led me to look for the house

Great time for a boys trip. Next time we're bringing our families. Great facilities for easy access. The fire ring with attached grill was nice. We used it for every meal. Fire wood, ice, and essentials are sold in the park for convenience.

A bench and fire pit are provided for each spot, you can purchase firewood and smaller sized ice bags from the check-in. Staff there was very nice and helpful. There is also a store on the marina that probably has the other basic needs like lighters and flashlights and the like; didn't step in as I was already prepared. Soil was loose enough to drive tent stakes by hand. Public bathroom has two showers, fairly clean facilities but recommend bringing flip flops. The men's room did not have the paper towel dispenser refilled in the two days I stayed, but that's a minor gripe. Safe for sure, people would leave their stuff out in the open while away from camp, so either it's regular security passing by or good folk that respect boundaries. Decent space between other campers but you're definitely within eye and ear shot at all times. It's peaceful, especially at night since there's no music allowed and quiet time starts at 10pm. If you're on ATT you should have good coverage all throughout, T-Mobile has a random spot or two in the entire Everglades you can get a bar of signal. Biggest disappointment for me was that although the campgrounds appear to be right next to the bay/water, it's blocked off by thicket. You can fish in the amphitheatre area in the day or marina at night, pretty short drive from the camp. There are other ponds advertised on the site for fishing (Ficus pond and Sisal pond) but there's no signage along the trail indicating entry points to these ponds, I didn't see any access from the road. Other fishing spots along the way are also not marked, only the hiking paths and kayaking spots. Did not have any fishing success, probably just a bad season as talking with other fishermen they similarly had no bites during their stay.

There is pavement all the way including the parameter roads of the campground.. Signage is adequate. Check in was efficient and friendly both at the National Park and Campground entrances. The rules are fairly basic. Be aware the site do not have water or sewer hook ups. There is a dump station with potable water available. Our site, 40, was an asphalt based pull thru that was easily long enough for our Coach and Towed. Service (30/50 amp only) was to the left side. Distancing is good for a rural park. Each site had a table and a fire pit. Our site was flat and even. Overall the park was Tidy. There is NO park included wifi or cable TV. We did not find any OTA channels. Satellite will not be difficult. We did not use the washrooms or showers but we checked and found them clean. Be aware the showers do not supply heated water. Make sure you bring an adequate supply of BUG SPRAY that will protect you from Mosquitoes and Gnats. Afterbite and Calamine Lotion are a must. Sadly, after using three different bug sprays, we could not stop the hoards. We had booked a week but left after three days. The boat tours are excellent and they were the only reason we stuck it out. There is a trail from the park that leads to the Lodge/Restaurant and the Marina/Store. Guided boat tours are available as are Kayak/Canoe and boat rentals. The store does have the basics but be prepared to drive all the way back to civilization for Groceries and shopping. We found this park to be an good base to explore the National Park. We paid $55.00 per night and we feel we received fair value. We are glad we came but just as glad to leave. We won’t be back..

This is one of the few places in Florida where you can truly feel immersed in raw, untouched wilderness while still enjoying well-maintained facilities and incredible RV-friendly amenities. The sites are open, spacious, level, and perfectly positioned to catch those spectacular Everglades sunrises and sunsets. I loved having access to clean bathhouses, nearby water access, and flat walking areas for Bella. The coastal breeze from Florida Bay keeps the campground comfortable, and the stargazing here is out of this world. As a photographer, Flamingo is a dream destination. You’re just minutes from some of the park’s best scenic spots: • Eco Pond — perfect for sunrise shots and bird-watching. • Florida Bay Marina — manatee sightings, kayak rentals, and breathtaking waterfront views. • Anhinga Trail & Royal Palm — some of the best wildlife photography opportunities in the entire Everglades. • Mahogany Hammock — a mystical boardwalk through ancient forest. Nearby amenities include the Flamingo Marina Store, which offers snacks, supplies, souvenirs, cold drinks, and essentials—surprisingly handy when you're deep in the park. Kayak and canoe rentals are available right on-site, and there’s even a small café during peak season.
