I really appreciated the 'dark night skies' policy enhancing the camping experience. Only one rv per night forgot to turn their porchlight off making for excellent starry nights. The relatively modern bathroom with one shower for each mens/womens room was clean and kept stocked with soap and toilet paper. If everyone does their part to clear their hair from the drain and wipe their feet on the mat before entering it would be even better.

No site to the right of us, short walk 3 sites to left to Vault Toilets, and short 2 min bike ride around lake to flush toilets/hot shower bath house! There are resident large gators in the lake, so use caution walking your dog, especially at night. Walk your dog middle of gravel road around lake and you are fine. We had large baby hoot owl hang out 2 nights in site to the left of us, which was so cool! And last night we stayed we heard a pack of coyotes howling and running around in the Marsh behind us, again super cool experience! There are plenty of Red Shoulder Hawks all around the lake/marsh and very interesting to hear them and watch them catch fish! We also got to see 1 Spoon Bill and 2 hot pink flamingos! The back country trail is a Must Do when you are here! It was nearly dry and we hiked a few miles, saw massive flocks of birds feeding on bugs in trees & came across some cool frogs, toads, butterflies and moths! Highly recommend!

Plenty of room. Decent space between sites. Fire rings with grates on top, not idea but can definitely be used for cooking. Park was clean and hosts are very tentative. Large single shower in men's room. One stall could use higher dividers, makes it a little uncomfortable when there is someone using the urinal and can look over at the person in the stall. One stall could use higher dividers, makes it a little uncomfortable when there is someone using the urinal and can look over at the person in the stall. Potable water on-site isnt the best tasting. Speed limit needs lowered. 15mph isnt fast but when you have a lot of kids running around, people walking and the fine gravel road, it gets very dusty.

campsites are located around the pond. quite big sites with picknick tables. some sites are shaded. no swimming in the pond due to 3-4 alligators. campfires allowed. no electricity, therefore sometimes some noisy generators in use. clean washrooms with hot showers.

There's not a lot to do at the campground per se, but it's pretty quiet (January), the shower is hot and there are fire pits of you bring firewood. I wished they sold firewood on-site.
