Needed a spot to overnight. Called with 1hr notice and they were able to get me checked in that evening. Host met me at the gate and took me to my spot, showed me the hookups. Small & quiet, tucked away. Easy access in & out. Glad I stopped here and found camp for future trips through the area.

We recently stayed at Shady Oaks and enjoyed our stay. We were looking for a nice quiet place to spend the evening, and we got exactly that. The campground was not far from the main highway, but it was secluded and very quiet and peaceful. We stayed in one of the cabins available; it was very nice. Solid construction, a/c and heat, a trundle bed, and portable toilet... everything was clean and wel... We recently stayed at Shady Oaks and enjoyed our stay. We have been staying at Shady Oaks for almost a year . Brett and Theresa are awesome hosts and are always on hand to lend a hand if needed . We are mainly weekenders and I would say we absolutely love it . The full time residents we have made friends with are fantastic good hearted people . It is a great location for hunters or fishermen coming into cedar key . The camp ground I would say maybe... We have been staying at Shady Oaks for almost a year . The camp ground I would say maybe does not have “ kid” activities however there are/ were kids in some of the campers . We have been very very pleased with our experiences here and would highly recommend . The people here are honest, friendly and good heart. 5 stars for sure

I always look for the best value. This place fits the bill. Clean, safe, comfortable, and good price. Owners can be seen around the place keeping it up and making it better. Neighbors in the park seem to be great people and always offer a friendly wave. It’s close to Cedar Key for great fishing and Chiefland for essentials.
