We are attending the FCCOC Rally here at Sun & Fun Campground at the Lakeland Linder International Aitport in Lakeland, FL. This is a huge facility but does feel like it because it is so spread out. They are also expanding the campsites and adding power, sewer, and water to many. Its also very convenient to Lakeland shopping and restaurants. We will definitely stay here again.

We were met at the entrance by the manager who guided us to our site. Initially, we had selected a back in site, but she was kind and put us in a nice pull through. Up front, I'm sure during the Air Show this is a happening camp ground. During our one night, what we observed were mostly long term RVs, either occupied by residents or hooked up but in storage but to occupied during the Air Shows. Our site was full hook up but in a nicely mowed field with nothing else. No picnic table or anything. There are three shower houses...these are buildings with rows of showers. The sinks are outside along the wall. Toilets are porta johns placed throughout the Park. There is an Air Museum and our host gave us free passes, but the museum was closed to the public for a Special Event. Some eateries about 5 miles away. While the majority of rigs were long term or storage, the overall feel of the Park was good. It was clean and the grass cut. For one night it was ok. Given the placement of utilities, I would be fair to estimate rigs are parked very very close to each other during the Air Show.

No longer does Sun N Fun cater to loyal guests or all guests. Charging $3,000 for a power campsite and leaving no possible way for anyone to book just the week of the airshow is 100% greed. 28 years my family and a group of about 50 of us have been attending this airshow, showing unwavering loyalty and this is how they repay the guests, by catering only to customers who can afford to buy everyone... I have someone who camps in my rig that needs steady relaible electricity for a medical device and is unable to attend without it. Therefore with a heavy heart we are saying goodbye and will no longer be attending any apsect of Sun N Funs Aerospace Expo. Im sure more people will follow. Very unfortunate. They will try to argue that its not greed and it's just a way to allow people to stay longer but thats just not the truth. If that was the case then they would allow people to book these sites at the going rate for just the week of the airshow, while also allowing people to book longer stays ahead of the show. Its just a lie. Period.
