This was a nice home base for our 3 night stay in the Keys. We traveled from out of state without our traditional camping gear but we found the tent, beds, and overall grounds to be adequate for our needs. Sunsets and sunrises were great and it was nice to be right on the water.

We are a scouting family and appreciate the fact that this camp is open to the public to just book.

Just got back from our 3rd annual Spring Break trip. I highly recommend this place for those with kids! You do not have to be affiliated with the Boy Scouts in order to stay here! The area is beautiful and the waters are teaming with marine life! The only drawback is that it is less than 200 yards from the highway so you do get some road noise at night. But it’s not bad compared to other areas! There is a separate restroom and bathhouse. The pavilion has propane grills that you can use. You can also purchase firewood directly from them for cheap! I highly recommend this place!

Stayed in their Glamping tent for a week and what a wonderful vacation. The tent was very comfortable. The views were amazing. We were right near the water. Very little light pollution at night, so the night skies were beautiful. And this camp is not far from Key West, Marathon, or a beautiful state park, so there is plenty to go see and do. Can’t wait to go back.

This is a wonderful family vacation experience for those that love camping and want to relax just a little more then normal, not quite glamping, but the famiy tents are spacious offer some privacy from kids if you want that, the beds are comfortable and the air conditioner does just enough on hot days to help you sleep. This is a wonderful family vacation experience for those that love camping and want to relax just a little more then normal, not quite glamping, but the famiy tents are spacious offer some privacy from kids if you want that, the beds are comfortable and the air conditioner does just enough on hot days to help you sleep. The water is not the most swim friendly but the horseshoe beach is a walk down the road or the Bahia State Park is perfect for family day in the water. The staff is great, the weekend has activities and the site hosts boyscout troops passing through to the other Sea Base advantures in the area. The fire pits are a bit far from the tents, but each one has its own fire ring with a cooking grill and each also has a extra large picnic table/bench. Alot of the photos I posted are night photos taken on Gallaxy S22 Ultra in night mode under a full moon. Bonus... night sky is brilliant from here after lights out, no other buildings or lights on the island.
