Active duty and retired military can make reservations to stay here. I am not sure what other categories of persons have base camping privileges. Our GPS had trouble finding the correct open gate. Use the gate to the Camp Blanding museum. We are in a 5th wheel, total truck and trailer length is 53 ft. We have stayed in sites 25 and 26. Both were on fairly level cement pads that were wide and easy to back into. We had full hookups, a picnic table, and a fire ring. We had a beautiful view of the lake. The laundry room is in the middle of the middle camping area. There were 4 washers and 6 dryers, quarters required. There is a coin machine available. $1.50 to wash and $1.75 for 45 minutes of drying time. St. Augustine is an easy drive, about 45 minutes, from the campground. During our stay we needed a mobile mechanic. We notified the recreation office and received a visitor pass for the mechanic (easy process).

Friends were camping there and love the tranquilly of the area. The only problem was no lights in the park plus the roads have large holes and uprooted areas as drive.

Located at the Camp Blanding military training center. Beautiful lake and sunsets. Camp host Al Brewer is the best -- helpful, informative, friendly.
