About Jolly Toger RV Resort & Motel

Campground in Florida.

Nestled along the legendary Overseas Highway in Marathon, Florida, Jolly Toger RV Resort & Motel offers a distinctive tropical getaway for RV travelers exploring the Florida Keys. This well-established resort captures the unique charm and natural beauty of the Keys, providing a comfortable base for adventurers and relaxation seekers alike.

Marathon sits at the heart of the Florida Keys, roughly midway between Key West and Key Largo. This central location makes it ideal for travelers who want to experience the best of island life without committing to staying at either extreme end of the Keys. The area boasts a rich maritime heritage, evident in its working fishing docks, casual waterfront dining, and laid-back island culture that has attracted visitors for generations.

The surrounding waters are a paradise for fishing enthusiasts. Marathon is renowned for both deep-sea and shallow-water fishing opportunities. Charter boats operate from nearby docks, offering trips for everything from tarpon and permit to grouper and snapper. Even casual anglers can find plenty of opportunities to cast a line from public areas. The calm waters of the Gulf side contrast beautifully with the more dramatic Atlantic views, giving the area remarkable visual diversity.

Beyond fishing, Marathon offers excellent snorkeling and diving opportunities. Coral reefs teem with vibrant marine life, and numerous outfitters can arrange guided excursions to explore these underwater ecosystems. The famous Seven Mile Bridge, one of the most iconic bridges in America, lies nearby and provides both stunning photo opportunities and a thrilling drive that many consider a must-experience moment in the Keys.

For those preferring land-based activities, Marathon features several nature preserves and parks perfect for exploration. Crane Point Museum and Nature Preserve offers trails through native hardwood hammock and fascinating exhibits about Keys history and ecology. Local restaurants serve fresh seafood and traditional Keys cuisine, while small shops and galleries showcase local artistry and crafts.

The community itself has a welcoming, authentic feel that reflects generations of island living. Whether you're seeking adventure, relaxation, natural beauty, or cultural experiences, Marathon provides an excellent launching point for discovering what makes the Florida Keys special.

We have been to the Jolly Roger several times but this was the first time in the winter months. We were fortunate enough to get a month reservation. Yes it is extremely busy, but we never found it to be inconvenient. Staff is very friendly. Prices are reasonable for the keys. View is beautiful from the beach. We booked for next year. Just hope to get upgraded to be closer to the ocean.

Great RV Resort! The views of the water are amazing and watching the sunset each evening unmatched. The sites are nice and we love that most of them have grass and trees. The staff goes above and beyond to make sure your stay is a good experience. We love Jolly Roger! Nothing like it around.

We got home two days ago from our stay at Jolly Rogers. We always enjoy this park, it was our fourth time staying there. Each time we were able to get a seawall site, and the weather is pretty much perfect every day. We would have book a site for this May, but we have a different trip planned. We will definitely be back next year.
