The pool despite being a bit small for a resort this size is well maintained. This campground does not have a restaurant but the food truck was reported good with decent hours. Some of the RV sites are not as cramped as most places in the keys, a good amount are. Ours was pretty spacious. They are upgrading the marina and it will be awesome when completed. It’s fun to watch the tarpon, parrot fish, nurse sharks and manatees hang out there. Some of the long term campers need some clean up, as they spread. Last time there were no weeds and trees were better maintained. I always enjoy participating in events held at the campground like bingo, arts etc, we left on 12/12 and there was no calendar completed when I checked yesterday. That was very disappointing as that is a key way to meet others. All in all it’s a beautiful campground/resort.

From the moment you arrive, you’re welcomed by some of the friendliest staff we’ve ever encountered. The front office team is always cheerful, helpful, and genuinely happy to see you, and even the security team at the front gate greets you with a smile and a warm welcome. The interior roads are easy to navigate—even with a big rig—and the staff who guide you to your site make the arrival process completely stress-free. Our site was huge and had a beautiful view of the water, which made our stay even more special. One of the things we appreciated most was how peaceful it is at night. With the exception of just a couple of sites, the resort is quiet and wonderfully dark—perfect for stargazing. The night skies here are absolutely stunning. This is a very well-run, well-maintained resort in an incredible location. We enjoyed our stay so much that we already know we’ll be spending even more time here next winter. Highly recommended!

We had a great time staying here. The resort is very nice, clean and close to most major areas. They also have a shuttle that stops at the gas station to take you to and from Key West for only a few dollars. The dog parks is really nice and the beach is great, you can walk under route 1 and around the other island. Bahia Honda state park is only a short bike ride away as well. The only complaint... The only complaint we have is the location of our spot. We were down by the road. All day and all night all we heard was cars going back and forth, back and forth, back and forth. The next time we go we will request a spot deeper in the park and hopefully they will understand. I would definitely recommend staying here as you won't regret it.

However, we’ve unfortunately had a very disappointing experience with the over-the-phone staff at the main office. We’ve made several calls to complete bookings, and while I want to clarify that not all staff members have been this way, one particular representative has been extremely rude. It’s truly a shame because it negatively impacts the overall guest experience and makes us hesitant to even call back. We hope this feedback is taken seriously, as the resort itself is such a lovely place.

We were so sad to say goodbye to one of our new favorite parks! We spent almost a month in the Keys and Sunshine Key was the last park we stayed at but definitely our favorite and we wish we could’ve stayed longer. We had the most perfect ocean front site (452) which was close to the fishing pier and had spectacular sunset views. Every interaction either of us had with employees was very positive... We had the most perfect ocean front site (452) which was close to the fishing pier and had spectacular sunset views. Every interaction either of us had with employees was very positive and the people we interacted with truly made an effort to be friendly and helpful. I wish I knew names of the staff members that helped us to give them a special shout out but truly they were all so great. The area near the office has a nice pool, sport courts, food truck (good), and plenty of planned activities for guests of the resort. The only thing I’ll note is that some of the interior spaces were a little on the tight side for big rigs. Camp store/gas station (with diesel) right next to the property. Thanks for a very special week, Sunshine Key! Hope to see you next year!
